A substantial Japanese selvage denim with a beautifully dense, durable weave. At approximately 17 oz, this heavy-duty fabric has excellent structure and body—ideal for bags, totes, aprons, workwear, and other hard-wearing projects.

The color is an exceptionally deep black—almost charcoal or ink-black—with subtle texture and visual depth from the twill weave. The reverse side reveals a contrasting black-and-white woven surface, adding interest to unlined designs or turned-back seams. As it wears, the fabric should develop character through softening, abrasion, and tonal fading.
