Join us for a delightful day of quilting magic with local expert Kristy Kay! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the essentials of quilting while creating a charming "cheater" quilt panel—perfectly sized at 12x12 inches—that you can take home as a sweet piece of art.

We'll focus on simple, straight-line quilt blocks, making it easy to master fundamental techniques such as machine quilting, creating your "quilt sandwich," and binding. No experience? No problem! Kristy will guide you step-by-step, helping you gain confidence and skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

Come stitch, chat, and create with us—your finished quilt panel will be a lovely reminder of your quilting adventure! Suitable for all skill levels.

Let’s make some adorable quilts and some new quilting friends!

Fabric Collage and Applique de Muertos

with Sandy Garcia

Join us for a fun and creative afternoon with Folk Artist Sandy Garcia as we explore the art of fabric play with applique and patchwork. No rules, just creative fun using fabric scraps, shapes, and trims. You’ll create your own patchwork heart with a dia de los muertos theme—a unique piece full of personality and charm.

Applique is the process of cutting smaller decorative fabric shapes and stitching them onto a larger background fabric to form a beautiful design. Whether you’re new to sewing or an experienced stitcher, this workshop is all about playing with color, texture, and creativity while learning simple techniques that can be used in many future projects.
