Summer Sewing Camps 2024
Common Thread Claremont offers a variety of summer sewing camps for kids ages 8-18.
Except Camp #3 which is for our younger crafters, ages 6-8!

COSPLAY
The word "cosplay" comes from the words "costume" and "play". Explore the world of cosplay and bring to life your favorite characters from movies, video games, anime, or anything that sparks your joy. Unleash your imagination and craft costumes that reflect your passion. At our camp, we celebrate the joy of sewing and the magic of embodying beloved characters. Discover the art of cosplay.

CORSETS!
All skill levels
Corsets have been around forever and yet they never seem to go out of style. A full corset or corset belt is a great way to add flavor to a blouse or dress. You can even wear them over a T-shirt! Join us as we explore corsets, adding fun details like piping, bias tape, and boning.

DIY Backpack
Backpacks aren't just for school anymore! Campers will have a few styles to choose from and lots of fabric styles and combinations. Details are key here! Customize your backpack and make it useful for you!

In this camp you decide! Campers will choose from our extensive library of patterns and projects. From dresses to skirts, tops to jackets, you will choose a project based on your skill level and time allowed.

My First Patchwork Quilt!

The classic patchwork quilt is a great project for beginning quilters. This simple quilt is a great way to get the hang of stitching blocks of fabric together and then stitching those blocks into rows. Students will have lots of fabric pieces to choose from!

ALL MAKERS are invited to hang out at the Common Thread Creativity booth and sell their awesome items, help with mini-workshops teaching visiting kids how to make Pom-poms, and other crafty craftity crafts! ​This extremely popular arts and crafts festival boasts 8,000+ visitors! I can't wait!
